Carpet Tiles

Carpet tiles are durable and versatile way to outfit several areas of your home or business.

Carpet tile is  easy to replace compared to broadloom carpeting. If you spill something, you can simply lift and replace a tile without completely replacing your carpet.

Carpet tiles are  simple to install, especially if you choose peel and stick carpet tiles. You can easily install carpet tile over wood, tile and other floor types to achieve a new look without the need to renovate.

Carpet Tiles provide a low pile that’s designed to withstand heavy foot traffic. The type of backing is another factor that contributes to their sturdiness. For the utmost in durability, choose carpet tiles with cushioned backings. This protects the carpet fibers from wear and tear and helps absorb the impact of foot traffic.

Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT)

Vinyl composition tile or VCT is a finished flooring material that is used primarily in commercial and institutional applications because of its durability, looks and also the low cost.  Modern vinyl floor tiles and sheet flooring are composed of colored polyvinyl chloride (PVC) chips formed into solid sheets of varying thicknesses with 1/8″ being the most popular choice for high traffic areas such as foyers, gyms, offices, retail spaces and more.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)

Luxury vinyl is a new alternative to natural stone and hardwood flooring, not just because it is budget friendly but because of its unmatched durability. You can have both durability along with premium hardwood and natural stone looks with LVT.LVT are considered moisture resistant, some are even waterproof!

Waterproof flooring has a watertight surface and a strong waterproof core that prevents the planks and tiles from ever expanding or contracting when exposed to moisture. This core also stops moisture from reaching the subfloor, and makes wiping up spills easy. Waterproof flooring is a great option for homeowners who have children and pets in the household.

Subfloor Preparation

Regardless which type of resilient flooring is being installed in your home or business  every floor will require some kind of subfloor preparation. Every installation is unique and will have its own subfloor prep requirements. Careful and correct preparation of the subfloor is a major part of a satisfactory resilient floor covering installation. Roughness or unevenness of the subfloor will telegraph through the new floor covering, resulting in an unsightly surface and excessive wear on high spots. Proper subfloor preparation and suitable underlayment installation are essential for a trouble-free job.  Here at 212Carpet we specialize in all types of subfloor preparation! Our team is also trained to test the floors for moisture and pH which are two essential components prior to subfloor prep.

Broadloom Carpet

Luxury vinyl is a new alternative to natural stone and hardwood flooring, not just because it is budget friendly but because of its unmatched durability. You can have both durability along with premium hardwood and natural stone looks with LVT.

Broadloom Carpet is the perfect addition to any residential or commercial property. It insulates your floors – keeping the heat in – feels great on your feet, prevents slips and falls, and absorbs sound. Padding is often used as a underlayer to create more of a cushion but glueing down the carpet is also an option. The possibilities are endless with broadloom carpet. Broadloom carpet can complete or complement any decor and 212Carpet is here to help!
Things to consider when selecting broadloom carpet, how heavy the traffic will be on the carpet? If there will be direct sunlight hitting it? Direct sunlight can alter the color of the carpet overtime and lighter colors will show dirt and stains more. All good things to think about before making your purchase of broadloom carpet.
